About Us

Indigenous sustainability project in Canadian forest

Our Story

Green North Solutions was born in 2018 when group of environmental scientists and renewable energy engineers were feeling much concern about changing Arctic conditions. We were seeing rapid ice melting and ecosystem disruption during our research work.

Many people were talking about problems at that time, but few companies were offering practical solutions that work in challenging northern conditions. So we decided to create such company ourselves.

Starting with small wind energy project in northern Ontario, we have gradually expanded our work to include various renewable energy implementations and ecosystem management approaches across Canada's diverse north regions.

Our Core Values

Sustainability First

Every project we undertake must contribute to long-term environmental health. Short-term gains are not worth long-term damages.

Cultural Respect

Indigenous knowledge and traditional practices contain wisdom accumulated over thousands of years. We listen before we propose solutions.

Scientific Rigor

Our solutions are based on latest research and thorough data analysis. We monitor and adjust our approaches as new information becomes available.

Community Partnership

We develop solutions with communities, not for them. Local ownership ensures long-term success.

Our Team

Green North Solutions brings together professionals from many backgrounds - environmental science, engineering, indigenous studies, economic development, and policy advocacy. Our diverse team includes:

  • Environmental Scientists specializing in arctic and boreal ecosystems
  • Renewable Energy Engineers with expertise in cold-weather adaptations
  • Indigenous Relations Coordinators from First Nations communities
  • Sustainable Forestry Experts focused on carbon sequestration
  • Policy Advisors with experience in governmental regulations

Our Approach

When approaching any new project, we follow a consistent methodology that ensures both scientific validity and community acceptance:

  1. Listen - We begin by learning from local communities about their needs, challenges, and traditional knowledge.
  2. Assess - Our team conducts thorough environmental and social impact assessments.
  3. Design - We create custom solutions that balance ecological, economic, and social factors.
  4. Implement - Projects are executed with local participation and training.
  5. Monitor - We track outcomes and adjust as needed to ensure long-term success.

This approach has been proven successful across many different regions and project types. We believe strongly that sustainable development must consider three important things always: environmental protection, economic viability, and cultural respect.
